Niko Angelis

In today’s world, hockey is game of time and space. Those who know how to find it and use it, excel. Those who do not, crumble. That is the philosophy behind Niko’s training style. The game is faster than ever, and the time and space to perform on the ice is getting more and more limited as the game evolves. That is why, in his training, Niko focuses on teaching young hockey players how to find the soft areas of the ice and attack them with high speed and total control of the puck.

By taking simple, fundamental movements and showing players when and how to execute them, Niko focuses on evolving the way players view the ice and the opposition. At every higher level, in order for players to maximize scoring, shooting, and passing opportunities, players must pay attention to smaller, more precise details in order to be successful. Highlighting these details and the best way to capitalize on them them is the foundation of Niko’s training philosophy. Associations Niko is a head skills-specialist at Quartier Hockey and works closely with Marcin Snita at MoveHockey. Niko is also director of hockey operations at MTL Knights Hockey Academy that focuses on a different style of team-based development. The goal of the organization is to provide players with the proper individual development that compliments directly into their team-based structure.

As opposed to traditional team-system training, Knights academy focuses on player development above all else. He works with the KLEVR MTL Young Kings Association. He also has multiple personal clients that are a part of the Quebec Brick Team. Niko’s older clients play across Hockey Quebec Peewee/Bantam AAA Leagues, Quebec High-School Leagues, and Junior/Prep School leagues.
